Dellville Covered Bridge
Dellville Covered Bridge (38-50-16)
This photo taken in 1973- Dellville Covered bridge is located in Perry County, Pennysylvania. The bridge is one of the longest covered bridge in the county. Perry County has 14 bridges still standing. Dellville is 174 foot long and 20 feet wide. It was built in 1889, and crosses Sherman's creek. It was added into the national registry of historic places in 1980. I remember visiting this bridge many years ago with my grandfather, with being young, it just seemed so huge back then. You can see all the Perry County Bridges from the Fred Yenerall Collection here. Its a great way to explore Pennsylvania history through photos.
