Columbia County Covered Bridges

While researching today for my photos, I was sidetracked with the stories and articles about the East Paden Bridge, which is one of the Twin Bridges in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. This is how the looked in 1972



In June 2006 a storm destroyed the West Paden Bridge. The bridges and the park were just rededicated in May 2006.

Reading a little further, I found this site: http://coveredbridges.org/index.html about the Columbia County Covered Bridges, and found there are several bridges there that were damaged during the same storm, Josiah Hess Covered Bridge. This is the way it looked in April 1969
