New Photos Uploaded today

45 New Photos were uploaded today. There is some of everything in the batch. Octogon Houses to Covered Bridges.

I plan on working on more short movies of the photos. I like the way they look. The first one I did took me awhile mostly learning the software.

I will be uploading more photos tomorrow, I am almost done restoring the next batch.

An upcoming delay: I have to get my scanner looked at, who would of thought that after only 24,000 photo scans that it would start messing up. I actually think it just needs cleaned out.
It is a Canoscan, and has been a great workhorse now for 4 years. I can not complain about it at all. It scans up to 4000 dpi in under 1 minute, I have a SCSI card instead of a USB, which helps with the speed of the images uploading to the computer. I wouldn't of been able to get this far with any other scanner.

All the scans are crisp, and clear from the 35mm slides. I am so amazed at how the images look after 30+ years of storage. I would of thought that they would of all been ruined over the years. They are starting to get harder to restore, damage is starting to set in. I have little "spiderweb" looking things on the slides that need repaired. That really takes time to correct. That is why some photos look better than others, film deterioration has set in.

I have been lucky to preserve as many images as I have. After working on these 4 years I think I will be lost without scanning everyweek. I plan on moving on, making movies from them, and books. So keep watching for new products!
