1973 Photos Hannastown Pa Rebuilding

One of the many Photos from the Collection of
Rebuilding of Hannastown Courthouse
1973

There are many photos of the courthouse being rebuilt in Hannastown Pennsylvania that Grandpap took in 1973. I remember he went out everyday and took photos. He was real excited about taking these photos, and watching it being rebuilt.

While scanning these photos I couldn't believe how many I had. You can see the building progress as the volunteers worked on it daily. I didn't go at all, I was still pretty young, and at that time in my life, I could of cared less about this kind of stuff. But now it's really interesting to me. I even took the time to research why this town was so importaint.

About the same time that the courthouse was rebuilt they also had Appalachian Wagon Train arrive at Hannastown.

Again Grandpap was there to take the photos of the wagon train arriving and setting up. There are several photos of this. He was also on Main Street in Greensburg PA when they came down the main street on their way to Hannastown.
