Copied Photos

Brownsville
Fayette County PA

There is a whole collection of photos that Fred copied from other sources. I have these unblocked so that anyone can download them for free. I didn't want keep them to myself and not show them on the website becuase of the historical value of these photos. I know that many people have never seen these bridges, and other photos, and this may be their only chance to see them. I asked Smugmug if I could put them up without violating copyright laws. They stated that as long as I didn't sell them and clearly stated that copyright is unknown that I could place them up.

Fred had made himself a nifty little set up so that he could photograph pictures. He had built a wooden stand to hold his camera, and place the picture under it. This way he was able to get a clear photo, and not risk moving the camera. It was quite ingenious how he built it and set it up. He would use that several times a month to take photos of pictures to add to his collection.

He not only would take photos of bridges and mills, but he would also take photos of old family pictures. Now we are glad he did, becuase the photos themselves are so old that they aren't repairable anymore, but we still have the images on the slides.

The whole Fred Yenerall Collection can be seen on the main website.

Website Update

The captions for the historical copied photos are finally finshed today. There are 390 photos in that gallery, it seemed like it took forever to finshing putting the captions on, but YEAH! they're complete. Now the next thing that I have to do is to sort back through them and group them by counties if I can. I will work on that later this week. Over the weekend I had moved most of the newly uploaded photos to their correct gallery. Now its back to scanning.

You can now Search the Blog or the main website for Bridges, Mills, and other historical buildings from this one location.
Are you looking for a certain bridge, type it in the search box and see the photos of it.
